Treasures in a Tupperware

I had not heard of geo-caching before I met my own German. And he had never tried it. But if you start hunting treasures - cause that's what it is - you better start in the land of gold. No?

It stopped raining for some hours. And we decide to go out for a San Franciscan geo-cache. A treasure hunt made by locals. It's not hard to find. The Internet is full of them.

GPS coordinates, a riddle and a map. And an umbrella - cause rain comes up again.
But we don't care. There's a treasure out there to be found.

We're looking for some old San Franciscan stairs. Wooden stairs. The first public stairs. In Twin Peaks. To climb the steep streets of San Francisco. To get a city view. And somewhere there, halfway the stairs - a treasure waits.

And after a good walk. Uphill. There are stairs. To go further uphill. It's a good search. But with a treasure to be found. In a Tupperware box.

A door opens on the old wooden stairs. And the neighbours stand outside. Treasure hunters by this weather?

Come in.
Coffee.
And self-made cake.
A warm house.
And a one-million-dollar view.

But most of all. New friends.
A good chat.
A warm welcome.

I suppose that's why the gold seekers didn't succeed.
No self-made cake and coffee. At least not in a Tupperware box.
