There's no better place for yoga than the gay neighbourhood

Yoga is a buzzword. On every corner of the street. I am a yoga-addict myself. But with a yoga studio on every corner, it's hard to decide.

I start in Castro. Known as the trendy gay neighbourhood of San Francisco. And close enough to what I call home now.

And it definitely was a buzz. More than 90 people walk out of the class before mine starts. 90?! In my home town we're about 5. If everyone shows up, that is.

I enter a steamy, hot room with about 30 people. More men than women. Interesting. There has been no men in my yoga classes until now. They're nicely build. Cool dressed.

And well, I picked the right neighbourhood. They won't be looking at me while I stretch and bow. So, I did. Stretching and bowing. For 1,5 hour. Hot Yoga.

And as a woman, I felt good. Keeping up with the guys. Without being stressed about what they're looking at.

Yep. Yoga at Castro is a good start for my healthy life.
