Whale Highway

It's just one hour and a half from San Francisco. Half an hour to Half Moon Bay. And one hour on the boat into the Pacific. To the Whale Highway.

For a while I thought the season was over. The season where whales travel from Baja de Mexico, where they deliver their calfs. Back to the cold waters of the Bering Sea.

But there they were. One. Two. Three adults. And a baby. Not that I could see any difference. But they told me.

I even learned these grey whales do not eat for 7 months, while they travel.
Seven months of diet for a giant. Must be hard.

The sun was out. Whales in the water. And that all 1,5 hour away from the big city. San Francisco really has it all.
