Californian last-minutes

Ok. Try this. Deciding on the Friday night before the long weekend of Labour day to leave last-minute for the most popular places in California. Monterey and Carmel.

It took me almost all Friday night to find a place to sleep (which would not cost us 650 dollar a night), but I made it. (I don't need to tell you it was a hotel with a wedding party in the room next door that took to 3AM in the morning, do I?).

Leaving on Saturday morning with only 30 minutes traffic jam. Getting there in foggy weather. Checking in. And having the rest of the weekend brilliant weather. With some real good Monterey sardines. A lovely tour on Pebble Beach. And even nicer tour of Carmel city and beaches.

Just the aquarium was a bit too much. Or better... too many. Full of tourists flashing fishes in their eyes. Or knocking on the glass. I wonder what they hope for? What does he want the fish to do?!?

Monterey was fun. Carmel was fantastic. Don't you just love Californian last-minutes?

PS: Plan to go? Just don't choose the Hyatt in Monterey and you'll be fine...
